Welcome! I’m Patty Edge also known as The Sketching Doc.
I seem to spend an unreasonable amount of time trying new sketching and painting materials, watching videos, attending workshops and symposiums and working out what does and doesn’t help my own art. I decided to set up this blog to put it all together and share the things I feel might be useful to other artists. It is a work in progress and I will be adding more articles over the coming weeks.
Alongside honest reviews and articles about workshops I’ve attended, you’ll find my gallery, YouTube videos and details of the workshops and sketching retreats I teach in Australia and overseas.
Hopefully, sharing what I have discovered along the way will save you time- although I can’t promise it will stop you buying more art supplies!
